City Parade
As an open, participatory format, the City Parade marking the opening of the Tanztriennale brings together artists and people of different generations and cultures. The City Parade is an invitation to the city to become part of the Tanztriennale: to dance along, to celebrate together, and to make community visible and tangible through the diversity of dance.
Shows
The Tanztriennale’s programme showcases dance in all its richness and diversity, highlighting its potential not only as an art form but also as a powerful social force - bridging dance cultures, generations, and a wide range of backgrounds.
Forum
Under the title “Collective Impact,” the forum presents a wide range of discursive and physical formats, including panel discussions, moderated exchanges, dance workshops, and lecture performances.
Moving Meetings
Moving Meetings are monthly gatherings for dance professionals of all genres, dance cultures, roles and backgrounds to come together to reflect, engage, share and be curious about each other’s practices, beliefs and experiences.
All Moves
The All Moves series brings movement to the city of Hamburg in the run-up to the Tanztriennale. It is an open format for the public to join. It invites people from all backgrounds and levels of experience to engage with dance through movement, participation and collective exploration. Community and shared experience are at the centre of this format.
Counter Balance
One of the goals of the Tanzriennale is to bring together dance professionals of all backgrounds and styles to explore and develop artistic practices across genres and cultural boundaries. With „Counter Balance“, the Tanztriennale is launching a new residency format that creates space for artistic experimentation beyond the usual dance canons.
