A key focus of the Tanztriennale is to support dialogue and exchange across dance cultures and communities.
The Forum’s theme of Collective Impact reflected the conviction that no single dance culture, community, individual or institution can navigate alone the current turbulence that arts and society are facing. Attendees were invited to come together around two interconnected lines of inquiry:
What is needed to strengthen the dance field and to increase access and diversity of dance cultures?
What role can dance play in nourishing more cohesive, healthy, diverse and democratic societies – in schools, in healthcare, in transformative thinking and community building?
Designed both for dance professionals and the general public, the Forum was held over four days with a variety of discursive and physical formats, including panel discussions, facilitated exchanges, dance workshops, and more.
